Barcelona: The Ultimate Weekend with Friends
A weekend packed with insider spots, sun-soaked plazas, and nights that go exactly as late as you want. This is the Barcelona I'd plan for my own group trip, balanced between laidback tapas crawls and rooftop nightcaps.
Day One
Ease Into ItSlow mornings in Sant Antoni
Kick things off with a lazy brunch at Federal Café or Tarannà. Think sunlit patios, strong coffee, and avocado toast worth writing home about.

Skip the crowded stretches and claim a patch of sand at this local favorite. Grab a few cervezas, settle in, and let the afternoon drift by.
Vermut’o’clock in L’Eixample
Embrace aperitivo hour like a local with a pre-dinner vermut at Morro Fi or La Vermutería del Tano. Salty snacks encouraged.

Cap off the night with a classic tapas crawl along Carrer de Blai. Hit up Quimet & Quimet for montaditos and La Tieta for the bombas.

The Big Night OutLong lunch in Gràcia
Sleep in, then head up to Gràcia, the village within the city. Grab a terrace table on Plaça de la Virreina and let lunch roll slowly into the afternoon. You'll need the energy for tonight.
Plaza hopping at golden hour
Follow the sun from square to square. Plaça del Sol fills up with locals by early evening, so grab a table at one of the bars around it, order a round of cañas, and settle in.
Password-only cocktails at Bobby's Free
From the street on Carrer de Pau Claris, it's just an old-school barbershop. Give the barber this month's password and he'll open the door to the cocktail bar hiding behind it. The password changes monthly and goes up on their Instagram, so check before you go.

Barcelona's oldest bar has been pouring absinthe in Raval since 1820. Dusty bottles, faded mirrors, a sugar cube on a fork. Order a round and do it properly.
Dance 'til close at Razzmatazz
Five rooms, five different sounds, and a crowd that doesn't go home until the sun comes up. Want something smaller? Sala Apolo in Poble-sec is the local favorite.
Day Three
The Full BarcelonaGet lost in the Gothic Quarter
Spend the morning wandering the labyrinthine streets of the old city. Pop into artisan shops and refuel with a cortado at Satan’s Coffee Corner.
Paella with a view at La Boqueria
Snag a counter seat at El Quim or Kiosko Universal for the city’s most iconic market meal. Don’t skip the cava.
Golden hour at Park Güell
Catch the late afternoon light washing over Gaudí’s whimsical park. It’s a hike up, but those city panoramas are worth it.
Sundowners at La Isabela
Watch the sun dip behind Montjuïc with a round of G&Ts on this rooftop terrace. The perfect last hurrah.
