The coves worth pointing the boat towards. These are the swim and snorkel spots around the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença and out along Formentor, the wild ones with cliffs and clear water, most of them far easier to reach by sea than by land. Bring everything with you, there are no beach bars out here, and that is exactly the point.

Christina's note: The one everyone should start with. A pebble beach at the foot of 200 metre cliffs, almost impossible to reach by land without a proper hike, which means by boat it is all yours. The water is unreal for swimming and snorkelling, so many fish right beneath you. No facilities at all, so come prepared. If you only do one, do this.
